Apps are one of the main pieces of technology that can be used to make your life just a little better. We have started building apps when it becomes apparent that an app doesn’t exist to solve an existing problem.
SnackCoaster
SnackCoaster was created when we were on a family trip to Kings Island. We are season pass holders and have also taken advantage of their meal and drink plans.
The meal plans added to season passes offer the ability for each person to get two meals a day 4 hours apart. The drink pass allows each person to get a drink every 15 minutes. You can adjust the timings for whatever amusement park or really any situation where meal/drink passes are available.
The app solves two problems:
- The app includes a count-down timer to when you can use either the meal or drink pass again for each person.
- You can also tracks who has used their passes and how many times. Optionally you can keep track of how much the meals would have cost if you didn’t have the pass.
There are iPhone and Android versions.
Goal Timer (next up)
Inspired by the open source Mac app Finito, Goal Timer will allow tracking the start date, end date and how much of your available time has been used up in progress of completing your goal.
Finito was discontinued and all traces of it wiped from the internet years ago and is currently only available as an Intel Mac app.
